Volume Control Full Range Key ("the Key App") is a small companion app by an independent developer (Rotem Zussman, "the developer"). Its only purpose is to unlock the full quiet range in the Granular Volume app ("Volume Control: Quiet Dial" on Google Play) on the device where both are installed, and to show that status.
The Key App collects no data at all. It requests no permissions, has no
internet access (it does not request the INTERNET permission), contains no
analytics, no advertising, and no tracking of any kind, and stores nothing. Nothing ever
leaves your device, because nothing is gathered in the first place.
The Key App displays a status screen: whether the main app is installed on this device. That check uses Android's standard package manager and happens entirely on your device. Separately, the main app checks, also locally through Android's package manager, whether the Key App is installed and was signed by the developer; that is how the unlock works. No server, network request, or account is involved in any of this.
You buy the Key App on Google Play like any other paid app. The payment is collected and processed entirely by Google under Google's own privacy policy (policies.google.com/privacy) and payments terms. The developer never receives, sees, or stores your payment details. To restore the purchase on a new device, install the Key App again from Google Play with the same Google account. For refunds, use Google Play's standard refund process or contact the developer at the email below.
The developer holds no personal data about you, so there is nothing to access, correct, delete, or export on the developer's side under the GDPR, the CCPA, or similar laws. For data connected to the Google Play purchase itself, those rights are exercised against Google, which holds that data, through Google's own account tools.
The Key App collects no data from anyone, including children, and contains no ads. Purchases on Google Play are subject to Google Play's own family and purchase-approval controls, and parents or guardians are responsible for supervising purchases made from accounts or devices a child can access.
The Granular Volume app's own privacy policy and the Terms of Use that govern both apps are published at rzuss.github.io/granular-volume-privacy.
This policy is governed by the laws of the State of Israel, subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Tel Aviv-Jaffa, Israel, except where applicable local consumer-protection law grants you the right to bring a claim in your own jurisdiction, or where a claim relates to Google's own handling of your purchase, which is governed by Google's own terms.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this same address with a revised "Last updated" date.
